The masks and snorkels arrived today. They are gorgeous and the prescriptions are perfect - what a thrill to look through a top flight snorkel mask and be able to see what you're looking at! This morning, it was 20 degrees below (and I'm not talking wind chill).

I just wanted to thank you for the special "Executive Gauge Readers" you put on my 2 dive masks. I was impressed you did a "mini-consulation" and asked what my optical needs were and then advised me on what has worked well for other underwater imagers. Every other gauge readers I have previously used were too small and could only be looked at through using one eye at a time.
With your readers, now, for the first time in years I can use both eyes when looking slightly down from a horizontal sightline and see my external HD video monitors. I no longer have to turn my head to the side and use just one eye through a tiny reader looking for macro critter subjects or at my monitor.
The benefits of being able to use both eyes simultaneously and see through your unique style of readers designed specifically for underwater imagers cannot be overstated. Now when HD videotaping subjects like tiny bobtail squid or skeleton shrimp, both of which are about the size of this text, I can see them and videotape them using both eyes seeing clearly.

I have been diving and snorkeling with my perscription glasses wired to the outside of my mask for as long as I can remember. I lost that setup on Bonaire this January. I would like to get really large (about 2.75" w X 1.75" h or larger) +3 diopter stick on lenses.

Anyone know where I can get these?
I have not heard anything good about stick on lenses.....they are usually too small and don't stay in place, fall off and get lost/damaged or don't have a strong enough diopter.
Many of us pro photographers and filmmakers use custom made magnification diopters that are permanently optically bonded to the lower inside half of the mask by a company called Prescription Dive Masks.

We use "executive gauge readers" style magnification diopters which are great not only for us with middle aged eyes, but are of benefit to anyone looking for macro critters.
You either tell them what mask you want and they supply it with the gauge readers bonded in place on the inside, or you supply the mask, pick the shape and size of the magnification diopter you want, and most importantly, use masking tape on a horizontal line to tell them how high up you want the horizontal plane top of the reader to go, and they will do all the rest. What pro photogs/filmmakers prefer is the gauge reader to go up JUST under the pupil centerline. That way as you are swimming/looking around, you look out through the normal part, the second you look as something closer, you look ever so slightly downwards moving your eyes.
I always take 2 rigged masks on each expedition as I can't see my gauges or housing controls worth beans without them and I have had masks get lost and broken, so on an International adventure is the wrong time to scrimp on having a backup masks.Keep in mind +3 is fairly thick, so be careful with the new style of some ultra low volume masks where the glass is REALLY close to your eyes as I have had a mask where the gauge readers at +2.5 tickled my eyelashes and that is really annoying.

I'm addressing this to you because you were the one I dealt with. I received my prescription mask this past Thursday(as promised) and I am absolutely
thrilled! The attention to detail was impressive to say the least. As a professional diver of 35 plus years, I have never seen better craftsmanship. I was thrilled with the service and the workmanship before I ever dove the mask.
Well........I dove it today and I have to say, I'm even more satisfied.

     The mask performs flawlessly. I have to say that my dive mask is now better than my prescription eyeglasses! I was even thinking about wearing it to

Subject: Thanks!!!! After a 27yr layoff from being in the water I can now enter it with confidence. Recently my wife and I grew an interest in snorkeling. After finding a local dive shop we liked we inquired about a r/x mask. They knew just who to send my mask to "Prescription Dive Mask" .
The first day out I was amazed at the clarity that I now had underwater. After a 3hr trip we called it a day. When I discovered I had left my prescription mask in Canada...and had 2 1/2 weeks before leaving for Little Cayman, I was in panic mode!

I went and bought an Atomic mask and drove it down to your shop from NPB to speed the process. I just arrived yesterday and, honestly, I
can see better out of YOUR lenses than my existing glasses. Really!! It is that good. I loved my previous mask you made 2 years ago and can't wait to give this one a workout.

Okay - here's the thing. When I got my mask I sat at the kitchen table and attempted to use the bifocals. It didn't work so I sent you a message. You
have been so kind throughout this process. You told me to lie on the floor and look through the bifocals then mark where they should be. I did that.
This actually is very confusing to me. Why is it that sitting at the kitchen table I cannot see through the bifocals. Lying in the floor, I can.
Anyway, you offered to fix the problem and I actually was going to send them back. The problem was, I was so busy preparing for our trip, I just didn't get it done - Thankfully. So now I'm eating crow.

We went to New Zealand. I went diving. I even went on m y first deep water dive. I COULD SEE!!!! This was my first dive ever that I was actually able to see so many things. AND.......I could see the gauges! I have used contacts when I would dive in the past, but I have a strong astigmatism and the contacts helped a little but not much. These prescription lens in my dive mask are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness. You can't even
imagine how thrilled I was. I couldn't help but grin (which, by the way, doesn't work well with a dive mask).

Just got back from Cozumel on the 10th (sorry - the weather was perfect...) having gotten my new mask out for its maiden voyage.
I have to say, getting this mask has been the best thing to happen to me since certification!

The water is very clear there, with great visibility and warm temperatures. My trip wouldn't have been anywhere as enjoyable

Hi there,
I just received my new Look 2 dive mask with prescription lenses installed from you. As a Canadian, it was less expensive and more simple to order a mask online in the United States and have it shipped to you in California. I provided a copy of my prescription, including pupil distance (PD) that I obtained from my Optometrist. Then I prepared to wait.
From the time I had ordered the mask in New York, to the time I received it at my door, including getting through Canada Customs, was less than two weeks. This was without paying higher fees for rush service. You could not ask for anything better. I am as thrilled as can be with the speed and service.
I have quite a significant astigmatism. Never having had a prescription mask before, I was hoping for something "not perfect, but good enough".
I kept my expectations low, so as to not be disappointed.
I am shocked at how well I can see with this mask. It is literally the same as my brand new prescription glasses.
I realise now, I should have done this years ago.
